Exmouth is located 1270 kilometres north of Perth with a population of around 2500. It is home to the Ningaloo Marine Park and Cape Range National Park. This is a unique part of the world, as few places are blessed with the stark contrast of rugged limestone ranges and crystal blue waters, with colourful coral formations and a marine park, on their doorstep.
Exmouth and Ningaloo Reef are renowned for white sandy beaches, amazing seasonal marine life and warm weather all year round. Temperatures range from 25 to 42 degrees, which create excellent diving and snorkelling conditions.
The 260-kilometre expanse of Ningaloo Reef runs down the western coast of the Exmouth Peninsula. It is a fringing reef and is easily accessible from the shore.
The Marine Park is home to over 220 species of coral and 500 species of fish, together with larger inhabitants such as seasonal Whale Sharks, Humpback Whales, Dolphins, endangered Dugongs, Manta Rays, Turtles, schools of Spanish Mackerel, Sail Fish, Marlin, Potato Cod and Giant Groper.
Situated on the west side of the North West Cape is Cape Range National Park. A spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50 kilometres of pristine beaches. The Park covers some 50, 581 hectares and is abundant with flora and fauna, including a unique collection of bizarre cave dwelling animals. This area is very popular amongst tourists for its spectacular walks
